Radial

Radial

A radial tyres construction has the cord plies arranged at 90 degrees to the direction of travel, or radially (from the centre of the tyre).

In a radial tyre the sidewall and tread work as two, each with their own features and benefits. The flexible nature of the sidewall enhances vehicle stability and provides a maximum contact area with the road surface. This creates a more comfortable ride.
