BRAKE DISCS

The Ferodo disc range is perfectly interchangeable with original equipment specifications.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

The cross drilled hole design in the braking face improves the initial bite and is engineered to increase heat dissipation, reduce weight and optimize the contact area with the brake pad. The steel used for the different versions is AISI420 / AISI410 which receives a thorough heat treatment throughout its thickness, that guarantees.

DISC BEDDING

The aim of bedding is to bring the pads and discs to the full operating temperature, but gradually. Too quickly results in glazing.

Make roughly 25/30km – 4/5 laps of the track - at medium speed and avoid hard aggressive braking so that at least 90% of the friction surface of the pad comes into contact with the disc. At this point make one last lap, gradually increasing the intensity of the braking.

When replacing the brake disc, fitting new brake pads is also highly recommended (follow the pad bedding-in instructions).
