Gabriel SS24 KTM 2023
From a team rebrand to MXGP World Championship rounds team Gabriel SS24 KTM’s debut year has been full on and full of excitement and challenges.
Both Tristan Purdon and Taylor Hammal rode in eight rounds of the MXGP and both gained hard-earned points. The MXGB gave the team it’s first ever MX2 victory courtesy of Taylor at the Schoolhouse MX round and the team were second in the championship, both certainly worth celebrating. Tristan’s determination over the season (from a fight to get 10th overall in the first round, to ending the season on a fourth overall) definitely helped get that team podium spot.
The partnership between Gabriel SS24 KTM and Bickers is going well. RK Chain has proved invaluable with it’s strength and minimal wear never letting the team down. Motorex premium products keep the KTMs running smoothly and looking great – exactly what is needed to compete at the highest level. Maxxis Tyres and Riga mousses have impressed with fantastic grip and traction in all conditions.
Looking to 2024 Shaun Simpson will continue to lead the team with Dutch teenager Cas Valk, former EMX125 champion, joining the team for his second season in EMX250 and Brit Josh Gilbert coming on board to start his first full MXGP season. Shaun’s experience with four GP wins and four national titles is sure to be invaluable to these two up and coming riders.
Bickers is looking forward to following and supporting the team through what looks to be the 2024 season. Best of luck to the whole team!
