STUNNING OULTON WIN FOR O’HALLORAN WITH RK

Jason O’Halloran got the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Championship off to the best possible start with an emphatic victory in the opening race at Oulton Park, while team-mate Tarran Mackenzie made a strong start to the season with fifth in the opening encounter.

“It’s great to start the year with a win; qualifying was a little bit stressful so credit to the boys for sorting the bike for the race. I settled into the race, got a great start from the second row and felt very comfortable behind Christian. I knew I was going to be in a good place at the end from our work in testing and over the weekend so I settled into the race and then when I got to the front just controlled the pace. Tomorrow’s race will be a little bit different and probably need a bit more strategy but I set my fastest lap on lap 13 and felt good on the last lap so we should be in a good place for tomorrow.”
